Inspiration From Elsewhere

I was taking part in a Tantowi Yahya Public Speaking workshop which were only limited for certain number of people (ten in my case). There I was taught how to speak not talk in public. Just for a note, they define speaking as talking with purpose. I was undoubtedly inspired by the teachers but inspirations were kinder that time, they came to me also from my companions there who were mostly already old and experienced.

Sir Erwin was working at oil palm company. I believed he was kind a successful person yet it didn't stop him from extending his knowledge by participate in this workshop. I was actually inspired by him from his little story about his son. He told us that his son was taking part in a certain field event like boy scout activity. There his son and other kids were ordered to write a letter to their parents. This letter should be consist of their true feeling about their parents yet these letter were promised to be kept far from their parents so that the kids will not be shame to write all their feelings. Yet it was a trap after all, the respective parents got the letters and this sir Erwin was moved as his son wrote that he was thankful for having such a kind dad.

This story had really inspired me. A simply thanks can actually change people's life. A simple trivial action can matter for other. Hence have no fear or shame to do insignificant matter as it somehow can be significant!

To be continued...
